Sun Valley, Idaho

Tyler had a cross country meet in Sun Valley, Id yesterday. Since I didn't have to work...I went along for the ride. The ride was looooooooong and I now know why I am not a teacher or a coach. No patience!!!! Anywho, I was so glad I went because it was gorgeous up there. I of course, didn't bring our camera but here are a few stolen pics from the internet. On the way up there we passed Clint Eastwood's home on million dollar drive.

The meet was at some private school which costs $25K per year to attend. I obviously will never be living here but it was still pretty. Demi Moore and my boy Ashton Kutcher have a home up there so the whole time I was waiting to bump into him...didn't happen. haha.

Update!

Well I guess it's time to update our blog!!! It's been a crazy couple of months, but my new goal (as of 5 seconds ago) is to be more on top of this blog. So what's new?!!?!?!?
(I have no new pics so I thought this little stick figure/pregnant lady would do!)
Well as I'm sure most of you know.....we're expecting!!! We are very excited. What I am not excited about is how sick I have been. Everyone told me it would end at 12 weeks, well everyone lied...because I am still puking. The very scent of anything good or bad pushes me over the edge and nothing, and I mean NOTHING sounds good to eat. I really like my doctor up here in Idaho. Totally nice and willing to prescribe me whatever it takes to help the puking. On a good note though...I am still wearing my own clothes.....YEAH BOI!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I am having a boy, but I will take either! We have been throwing around a few names, but have yet to decide on any. We find out the sex in 5 weeks. The suspense is about to make me go craaaaaaazy.

Tyler is loving his new job. He is an awesome teacher and loves coaching. Right now he is in cross country season and will follow that with basketball. I have been dragged to a couple of football games. It's been an experience in it's self. I swear, Tyler is louder than anyone at that stadium, so I just kinda lay low and text while he is making himself known. We went to an intense game on Friday and the whole time he was getting mad at me because I was telling him to pipe down. The most hilarious part was when the home team scored a touch down in the last two minutes and I look around and witness my husband and some old man jumping in the air high fiving each other. Seriously, that happened!

Idaho is different! Some days I love it and some days I would give my left arm to just see the city! If I could change anything, I would bring some good eating places to this town. I have no desire to eat fast food, except for taco bell (which they don't have). The other day, the husband drove me 30 miles to get some Cafe Rio. I Love Him!!!! People are very nice though. They are always willing to help out and we have a great ward. About 85% of our ward is over 80 yrs old...JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT! hahaha.

Moving and we hate dumb people!

Hi....two months later. lol. So, we are moving to Idaho. Tyler got a job teaching high school history and PE. We got a good feeling about it and then they called him and offered him the Head Coaching position for the Varisty Boys and he will also be coaching cross-country and track. We are so excited for this opportunity and I am gearing up to pretend to be a sports fanatic now. YEEEHAW! haha. On to the dumb people....we found a house we liked and signed a lease about a month ago to move in August 15th. The owner calls me yesterday morning and says "bad news hun, we sold the house...it closes on August 13th". I swear if I hadn't been in a meeting when she called I would have had a major breakdown with her on the phone. I later heard Tyler screaming at her outside my office. She's an idiot. To be honest, it is probably a blessing in disguise....but she is still shady. So moving on, we still packed up everything yesterday and threw it on a trailer and moved out of our house. We are staying at my sister Kim's for two weeks as they are in Florida. We are looking hard for a new house, but as you can imagine....it's hard when you are not there to see it. My mam did offer us a pop-up camping trailer...hahaha, maybe we could shower at the high school gym. Speaking of my mam, she is AWESOME. She came to help us pack up yesterday and scrubbed the whole place. Tyler's exact words were "Where does she get all the energy?, look at her." She's pretty amazing :) I am so so so so so sad about quitting my job. I love it and all the people I work for. It has been such a blessing and I am already planning a teary eyed break down on my last day. In other exciting news: We got to go to the Phantom of the Opera with my sister Mandy and some of her family. It was very last minute, but we LOVED it. Would I go see it again???? TOTALLY.

This was taken before the show.

This is us with our favorite baby.....Niamh. She is so cute, we love her.

I married my best friend. This is hilarious to me because I asked Tyler if it felt like we had been married for 6 months already and he said "no, because we've only been married for 5 months". hahaha, I can't count. I mean, him and I had to count it out...lol. Anyway, 5months.....6 months same diff. It feels like so much longer to me. We've had some good times that's for sure. Don't worry we've had our moments too. All in all, it's been great and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The first night I met Tyler was hilarious. My roommate and I had met up with him and some of his friends. I thought he was cute (and tall) when we met but I remember mostly being shocked because Tyler was throwing back all the crap that I was giving him. I've been known to be a little sarcastic at times and he was just as sarcastic back. We were down on the strip and we walked so much I thought I would die. I wore these stupid little flip flops and my feet were literally close to bleeding. Tyler walked up to me and said "Jump on, I'll give you a piggy back ride". I said "no thanks", but then as my feet continued to crumble I jumped on. I wanted to see him again but had no way of contacting him, plus I didn't call boys so.....I was out of luck. Then the next night I got this text from him asking me if I had fun the night before. Das right.....he was a stalker and got my number. The rest is history.

We went to Utah last month. Every time we go, we walk around temple square. This last time I was reminded of the time that we went up to Utah when we were dating. We were walking around when all of a sudden Tyler said nervously "so..... like you know you're my best friend now right?" It was so funny, but still so cute!! He'll probably kill me for blogging about that...but oh well, what's new? haha. Over the last couple of weeks I have been in cavity hell dealing with my teeth issues and Tyler has been so good to me. Nothin better than a husband to take care of you when you are cracked out on painkillers. I truly am blessed to have such an awesome husband and to be married to my best friend. He's always trying to spoil me, and puts up with all my drama. He's such a hard worker and I LOVE HIM!

Memorial Weekend

Well we headed for Utah on Friday @ 11. The rain hit us in Beaver and it basically rained the whole time on and off while we were in Utah. I swear every time we go to Utah, the heavens open and it rains. Not fair! We got in to SLC that night. Tyler got us a room at this historic hotel. It was pretty sweet. We had a blast and really enjoyed spending time with Grandma Powers. We visited our friends Christian and Deanna. It was Tyler's first encounter with my crazy girl DeAnna but the two of them bonded and now they are basically BFFs. haha. We ran up to Sexy Rexy (Rexburg) on Monday morning. I seriously asked Tyler this question about 40 times this weekend...."why do we live in vegas?" Idaho was gorgeous and I miss it. We stayed with our friends Brent and Meredith and had a lot of fun with them. We had a bbq and played a clean cut version of poker all night long. Don't judge :) We got home on Tuesday night and were thrown back to reality when we found out that Tyler lost my debit card. Good times.....it's still a touchy subject. Work has been CRAZY busy, but the days are flying by and it's already Friday tomorrow. HOLLA! Not gonna lie....I don't have much to talk about in this post. So, until next time....

Week in Review

Well last week was a long week, almost as long as this one....Is it Friday yet?!?!? So, I was on my way to the brother in law's office last Tuesday (I am crunching #'s after the tax season) when all of a sudden my car started to shake. It was kinda windy so I thought it was just that...but, after about 2 miles I realized it was something bigger. I would go into all the dramatics, but I'm trying to get over it. Let's just say after numerous breakdowns (all me) and a very patient husband...oh, and a lot of money MY CAR IS FIXED.

We made it to the temple on Thursday night. So peaceful, especially after a crazy week. I'm so glad that we went :)

Tyler is on a softball team. He loves it and is doing great. His games are so late though. 8:30 and 9:30 on Monday nights. Um, I go to bed at 9, so......... Oh, he just informed me that this next one is at 6:30. Good to know!

So.....we're still getting wedding gifts. We have been blown away with the kindness of everyone. So nice :) Seriously, my mam calls about once a week to tell me that someone else has dropped off another gift at the house for Tyler and I. Well about a week ago, my sister Kim called and said that my old bishopric and their wives had given her a gift for Tyler and I. (I knew she had opened it because that's how she rolls....shady ;). Anyway, the gift was two large frames. one of The Living Christ and the other of The Proclamation to the World. They had our picture printed on the proclamation....So precious :)

Let's see, what else is new.....Well, we are winding down the Idol season. Let me begin by saying that I seriously almost lost my legs last night on the treadmill. I was glued to Idol and switched between that and Biggest Loser for an hour. I mean, my legs almost buckled when I was done. Anyway, Adam tore it up...but, what's new?!?!? I really get ticked when people slam him. He might wear tight pants and be a major fembot, but BOY CAN SING! I almost ate it when Danny ruined Dream On. It was bad, but he can still sing. And, also....is it just me or is Slash slightly attractive? I had an epiphany last night in regards to Idol: Adam should drop out, because he's already made it. This way he will give someone else a chance. Just sayin'

In other reality news....my new favorite show TOUGH LOVE ended it's season on Sunday. I miss my boy Steve....but, word on the street is that he is rallying the troops together for season 2. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, is it stupid that I kinda want to check out that new show Glee? I mean, it looks kinda good.

Here's a pic of the sistaz. We went and watched Ghost's of Girlfriends Past. It was good, and Matthew's definitely still got it....HOLLA!

P.S. This is what I would like to do to Perez Hilton's face....Double Holla!
