It's a.....

That's right...We are having a girl. I had a dr appointment on the 7th and the dr. told me to go ahead and schedule an ultrasound on my way out of the office. They typically do one around 20 weeks. Of course, the next available one is when we are in California, so they are only able to get me in on April 6th. It's weird because the dr's schedule has to coincide with the ultrasound opening because they actually come in at this office and go over the results with you right there. I think that's pretty cool. Anyway, Tyler and I knew there was no way we would be able to wait another month to find out if we were having a girl or boy. We had been thinking about going down to Utah this last weekend anyway, but when I saw that I could find out the gender on a Saturday in Utah...I was sold.

Tyler has said all along that it's a girl. He was right with Noah, so he basically thinks he's psychic at this stage in the game. I was so nervous, that I couldn't even think straight. I was so torn because I thought another boy would be so fun for Noah, but also would love a girl. We are over the moon about finding out that it's a little girl. She was not cooperating at all during the ultrasound. Legs crossed and everything. She finally threw her legs up over her head and he got a good shot. We are thrilled :)

I have been feeling a lot better since this weekend. I'm actually cooking dinner today. WOOHOO!!! Noah has been so cute about the baby. He comes over and kisses my belly and says "baby" and then goes over to Tyler and lifts his shirt and does the same thing to him. haha.

I also wanted to add this little pic of Noah because I think it's hilarious and definitely want it to be printed in our blog book. I LOVE HIM!!!

Alive and Kickin'

So, I doubt anyone reads my blog anymore because I haven't blogged since last year. I just haven't felt it to be honest. I mentioned our blog the other day and the husband said, "oh, do we still have one?" Uh, yeah. Getting back to it!!!

Our biggest news is that baby #2 is set to arrive in August. We couldn't be more excited. We will find out what we are having in the next few weeks and can't wait. Tyler is actually saying now that it's a girl. He thinks he knows for sure because he guessed right with Noah. I will be happy either way. All I care about is having a healthy baby!!!

Noah turns 2 next month. Say what?!?!? I ordered his birthday gift the other day because I was so excited when I saw it. Hopefully he loves it as much as I do. We shall see. He is talking up a storm. It's like it happened overnight, and pretty soon I imagine he will be talking back to me. Eeks. My boy is weighing in at 35lbs and is solid. Tyler actually gets tears in his eyes when he talks about Noah's future on the football field! His favorite things are toys, books, women's shoes, food and of course his dad! Here are some pictures of my little man:

This month we celebrated Tyler's 28th birthday! It was so fun! We got a sitter and celebrated at Outback the weekend before, and then had a birthday dinner/cake here at home on his actual birthday. I even embarrassed him by telling the waiter at Outback that it was his birthday and so they brought him this HUGE dessert!!! It was fun! Noah and I had so much fun shopping for Tyler's birthday gifts and he loved every one of them. Here's a pic of Tyler @ Outback on his birthday:

My sister Mandy and her husband and kids came up over this last weekend. They got here on Saturday morning, and left on Tuesday. Noah had a blast with their kids. They are so cute, except for when they wake up screaming in their sleep in the middle of the night ;) I didn't manage to take any pics while they were here:( We are meeting them in Vegas next month and heading to Cali for a week and cannot wait! I will be sure to take pictures on that trip!!!

Halloween 2011 Picture Overload

We kicked off the Halloween weekend by going to a party with The Smurfs (a.k.a. The Astons). Blue is most definitely their color! Tyler and I dressed up as an old couple. Tyler was a little too into his character for the.entire.night!

Meet the future Mr and Mrs Matlock

This year was Noah's first real time dressing up for Halloween. We have always been out of town, so we were very excited to do this!

My Little Pirate

At the Trunk or Treat

So, about half way through the trunk or treat, Noah began to throw himself on the ground. He does this on our bed and on the couches and it's really fun, but it's not too awesome on the concrete. Anyway, he threw himself on the ground, and landed on his sword at the same time. A lady standing right there kinda started to panic and was like "his lip is bleeding." I picked Noah up and his lip was cut and blood was flowing out...onto my cardigan. YAY!!! The bleeding finally stopped and Noah finally stopped crying and now we have a fat lip pictured below. Never a dull moment. SIGH...

Wherever we go, Tyler insists on taking pictures left and right with the camera. Mostly when I am unprepared, or in this case yelling at him...I probably have one million pictures like this one on my camera. Haha.

Pumpkin Patch

We took Noah to the pumpkin patch here in Oakley. IT.WAS.FREEZING. But, we still had fun! Noah wasn't really digging it until he got a sucker at the end! Here are some pictures:

SO BEHIND!

So, I suck at blogging. So sad. I believe I have yet to blog about our trip to Ireland...in June. To be honest, I have just not felt like blogging. Sad, but true. I have a few minutes to update, since my child is currently shaking it to Pandora in the living room. Haha.

  • I was called into Young Womens in September. Laurels Advisor. I did not see that coming. I felt really inadequate for the calling and sometimes still do, but I am enjoying it. There are good girls in the program and I love the YW President who serves over the Laurels with me. With this calling I became super busy overnight and my weeks literally fly by. It's crazy.
  • As of today I am like 70 something days off sweets and all the good stuff. I feel great!!! I also started running again. It was real hard at first and I'd be lying if I said it was easy now, but it is getting better. I wonder if I will ever be back to my college running time, but it takes time and I need to just keep working towards it. I have noticed a difference and have had to go down a couple sizes in jeans. There is no better feeling...I don't care who you are!
  • Noah is 19 months and a holy terror. Not kidding. He is adapting well to nursery, but sometimes I feel bad for the ladies in there...especially when I walk by and Noah is standing on the table as the other kids are sitting quietly eating their snacks. Aghhhhh! He weighs 31 lbs and is all boy!
  • I recently became addicted to Pinterest. Thanks Jess ;) Tyler says that he likes it because of all the recipes that I try out. Lol. I am in love. I made this wooden pallet frame thing that turned out super cute, and after that I felt like I was a master carpenter. So, I tried to make a coffee table. Turned out so ugly, don't want to talk about it. But for real, Pinterest is where it's at. I get the most awesome handouts and ideas for young womens on there. It has everything!!! Email me if you want an invite.
  • Tyler's grandma and Joe came to visit earlier this month. It was so great to see them and to catch up. Noah thought he was in heaven having people to show off to. My sister Kim and her fam may be coming up next month, and then my mam is coming for Thanksgiving. I love having family/visitors. It's too quiet here. SERIOUSLY!!!
  • Tyler is wrapping up cross country season and is so excited for basketball to start. I have a love/hate relationship when that rolls around. I love that Tyler loves it, but I never see my husband so it's hard.
  • Fall is here...Kinda. I am ready for the fall clothes, but the weather keeps playing tricks on us. Come on!!! I am soooo ready for the clothes, boots, coats, and everything else!!! I am so excited for Halloween, Thanksgiving and super stoked about our annual SLC trip!!!
